JAMMU, Mar 28: A man was booked today under Arms Act by police Station Channi Himmat after a weapon was recovered from his possession.
“A police team of Police Post Chatta led by SHO Police Station Channi Himmat Inspector Deepak Katoch assisted by Incharge Police Post Chatta PSI Arun Shan while on patrolling duty rounded up a person who acted suspiciously on seeing police naka,” a police spokesperson said.
He said during search, one weapon (Desi Katta 315 bore) and one mobile phone were recovered from the possession of the man. “In this connection, a case FIR Number 44/2022 u/s 3/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Channi Himmat and accused got arrested,” he said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
The overall arrest and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari.
