SAMBA, Nov 18: A youth driving bike was killed while pillion rider injured, after their bike collided with another bike near Barian in Vijaypur area last night.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place near Hanuman Mandir at a narrow lane. Anchal Kumar and Balwinder Singh of Bari Brahmana, riding on a brand new motor-cycle fell down and received injuries and were rushed to Vijaypur hospital while two riders of bike No. JK02X/5023 were sustained minor injuries but fled the spot. They were identified as Manzoor and Khursheed hailing from Srinagar, the police said.
Anchal Kumar was referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu where he succumbed to injuries early today. The injured Balwinder was still undergoing treatment in Vijaypur hospital. The police has registered a case in this connection and started search for the absconding bike riders.
