SRINAGAR, Aug 23: One person was killed and three others injured in different road accidents in the Valley today.
A police spokesman said two men were injured when a Scooter (JK01M-6222) they were riding on skidded off the road near Royal Spring Golf Course, Nishat in district Srinagar.
The spokesman said they were identified as Aabid Ahmad son of Nazir Ahmad Ganie of Sogam Lolab and a pillion, Zahoor Ahmad Ganie. Both the injured were shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment where scooterist Aabid Ahmad Ganie succumbed to his injuries, he said.
A pedestrian, Ghulam Rasool Shah son of Ghulam Mohammad of Doonipawa, Anantnag, was injured when hit by an Alto car (JK18-1601), the spokesman said. The injured has been shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for treatment.
In another accident, a Tavera vehicle (JK01T-4841) hit and injured a pedestrian, Ali Mohammad Bhat son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat of Nowgam, Kokernag, at Lal Chowk in district Anantnag. He has been shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment, the spokesman said.
