UDHAMPUR, July 18: A woman was knocked to death by a car at Gole Mela Mian Bagh Udhampur while a motorcyclist and his two pillion riders were critically injured in another road mishap at Flata Rehambal, here today.
Reports said that a Xylo car (JK01S- 5666) hit a pedestrian at Gole Mela, Mian Bagh Udhampur. The victim, identified as Asha Devi (43), wife of Joginder Sharma of Rathian, Roopnagar Udhampur, was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where doctor declared her as brought dead.
In another road mishap, a Bullet motorcycle (JK14F- 2130), on way from Udhampur towards Katra, skidded off the road at Flata Rehambal resulting into injuries to motorcyclist Rajan Bharti (28), son of Amar Chand of Sangoor Udhampur, and his two pillion riders Kulbinder Singh (27), son of Jai Shanker of Moungri Panchari and Akshit (23), son of Ravi Kumar of Slathia Chowk Udhampur.
All the three injured were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur and were later referred to Government Medical College Jammu because of their critical condition.
