One killed, 4 injured as Scorpio rolls down

RAMBAN, Jan 24: One person was killed while four others were injured when the Scorpio car they were traveling in skidded off the road and rolled down into gorge near Kanga on Ramban-Gool road, this evening.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK14A-8181 was on its to Sangaldhan from Ramban, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it fell into gorge near Kanga, resulting into death of one person and grievous injuries to four others.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.
All the four injured persons were rescued and rushed to District Hospital Ramban, from where they were later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for advanced treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Manjeet Singh (28), son of Puran Singh of Sangaldhan, while the injured have been identified as Sandeep Singh (20), son of Sham Lal of Harog Dharamkund, Parvinder Singh (23), son of Sita Ram of Sangaldhan, Amir Wani (35), son of Abdul Aziz Wani of Banihal and Kartik (30) of Bihar.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Dharamkund Police Station and investigation started.
