One killed, 6 injured in accidents

KATHUA, May 11: One lady died while five others were injured after a Mahindra car bearing registration number JK8D9120 fell down into a 100  metre deep gorge in village Daman near Basholi late last night.
According the reports, the Mahindra that was on its way from  Hut to Basholi fell down into a deep gorge after the driver lost control on steering resulting into on spot death of a woman and injury to five others.
She was identified as Angrezo Devi, 55, W/o Bishnah Dass of Hut. The other five passengers including the driver of the vehicle were first taken to SDH Basholi where from they were shifted to Dalhousie, HP for treatment after getting first aid. The Basholi police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law and started investigation.
Meanwhile in another accident in Rehian Samba today between a load carrier and a two wheeler the motorcyclist was injured seriously. He was identified as Avtar Singh, 55, S/o Chura Ram of Khanwal. He was first shifted to DH Samba wherefrom doctors referred him to GMC Jammu.
The Samba police had registered a case under relevant sections of the law in this regard.
