JAMMU, Oct 19: One person was killed and another injured in two separate road accidents occurred today at Bikram Chowk, Jammu.
According to the reports, a speeding bus bearing registration number JK02AS-7719 this morning hit and severely injured an unknown man of age about 40 years at Bikram Chowk, near Asia Hotel. The injured man was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
Gandhi Nagar Police had registered a case in this connection and arrested the bus driver identified as Kulvinder Singh, resident of RS Pura.
Meanwhile, an unknown vehicle tonight hit a bike and injured its rider severely at Bikram Chowk. The injured bike rider identified as Ravi Kumar, resident of Shakti Nagar, was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition was stated to be critical when the last reports came in. Nehru Market Police had taken cognizance of the matter.
