SRINAGAR, Jan 5: One person was killed and nine others sustained critical injuries in a road accident in the border town of Kargil in Ladakh region.
A police spokesperson said here today that a vehicle skidded off the road and fell into the deep gorge at Akchamal in Kargil, resulting in injuries to 10 passengers. All the injured were immediately taken to District Hospital Kargil where one of the injured, Razya Bano, succumbed.
After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her relatives for last rites. (Agencies)
