One killed, one injured in fire accidents

JAMMU, Mar 2: A 25-year old woman of Samba who was under treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for her burn injuries, passed out this evening while a girl at Jagti quarters in Nagrota area of Jammu received about 60% burn injuries in a fire accident.
According to a police spokesperson, Pooja Devi wife of Shashi Pal, a resident of Samba district was admitted in the hospital on February 24 after she received about 90% burn injuries in a fire accident. Battling with the life for six days in the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries this evening. He body was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for postmortem.
At Jagti family quarters in Nagrota area of city outskirts, a girl identified as Girija daughter of Lal Chand received about 60% burn injuries when a fire broke out in the kitchen of her house.
The accident happened when while filling kerosene oil in the cooking stove, some kerosene oil fell on her.
The concerned police have taken cognizance in both the cases.
