One killed, three injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Nov 2: One person was killed while three others were injured today in separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police official, a rashly driven bus today at about 5 pm hit a bike and seriously injured its rider namely Rakesh Kumar (17) son of Shamsher Lal, resident of Kaluchak. The passersby immediately shifted the injured youth to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
“The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for postmortem, which will be conducted tomorrow while Satwari police had taken cognizance of the matter”, the official added.
Meanwhile, two real brothers were injured when a scooty on which they were travelling, was hit by a tractor near Poonch House, Talab Tillo. The injured persons identified as Rakesh (43) and Satish Kumar (46), both sons of Janak ram, resident of Manyal Brahmana, were shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment. Talab Tillo police had taken cognizance of the matter.
In another incident at Talab Tillo, a pedestrian identified as Kailash Devi (60) wife of Shanga Ram, resident of Talab Tillo, was hit and injured by a rashly driven bike. The injured pedestrian was hospitalized while the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
