KATHUA, Feb 15: One person died and two others were seriously injured in road accidents in Kathua town and its outskirts, here today.
According to the police, Neelam Kumari (40) (labourer) wife of Dev Raj resident of Parmal (Hiranagar) were seriously injured when she was hit by unknown vehicle at Bus Stand. She was shifted by police to District Hospital, Kathua and later was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu on advice of doctors due to her decorating conditions. She could not respond to the treatment and died in the hospital.
Similarly, Madhu Bala(35) wife of Nittu was also injured at Bus Stand, Kathua and was referred to GMC, Jammu for specialized treatment.
In yet another incident between scooty and motorcycle, Krishan Devi wife of Som Raj was seriously injured and was shifted to District Hospital, Kathua and was referred to Medical College and Hospital, Jammu by team of doctors, where is stated to be stable when last reports came in.
Police has registered the case in this regard under relevant sections.
