SRINAGAR, Dec 3: Open District Basketball Championship was inaugurated by the Divisional Sports Officer Kashmir, Mushtaq Ahmed at Indoor Stadium, here today.
In the inaugural match in women’s section, Hoopstar Basketball Club defeated women’s College MA Road, Srinagar.
In another match Kashmir Warriors Sports Club drubbed Green Valley School in women’s section.
In men’s section, SSM College defeated Highland Hoopers Basketball Club, while in another match, Joggers Basketball Club defeated Red State Basketball Club.
The finals of the Championship will be played tomorrow. The Championship was organized by District Srinagar Basketball Association under the aegis of J&K Sports Council.
