More organisations condemn Fidayeen attack, demand strong action against Pak

JAMMU, Feb 11: The wide spread condemnation to Fidayeen attack at Army Camp Sunjwan near here continues to pour in for the second day today with activists of various political parties and social organisations taking to streets and torching effigies of Pakistan.
Advisor to Chief Minister, Prof Amitabh Mattoo has condemned attack on Sunjwan Military base and called it a despicable act which needs to be condemned by every section of the society.
He also paid rich tributes to the slain Army personnel, praised their valour and sympathized with the bereaved families of soldiers.
Prof. Mattoo also wished the injured soldiers and civilians speedy recovery.
Pradesh Congress Party in a convention here, today presented a resolution and observed two minutes silence in the memory of martyrs. They also paid rich tributes to them.
Through the resolution Congress delegates strongly condemned the Pak sponsored terrorist attack on the Army Camp at Sunjwan, Jammu in which several precious lives of  Jawans and Civilians have been lost and several others were seriously injured.
The resolution was presented by PCC chief spokesman Ravinder Sharma.
Hundreds of activists of Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thackery) today organized a strong protest demonstration at Karan Market, Indira Chowk against Pakistan and also torched the Flag of Pakistan to protest against the terror attack at Sunjwan Army base.
The protest demonstration was led by Dimpy Kohli, president Jammu and Kashmir Unit, of Shiv Sena, Rajan Gupta senior vice president, Ramesh Gupta, vice president, Raj Singh, secretary, Vikas Patel, secretary, Sanjeev Sudan, president RS Pura and others also participated in it.
BJP also condemned Sunjwan attack, expressed its solidarity with families of slain soldiers, civilian
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today expressed solidarity with the slain soldiers and a civilian killed in a Fidayeen attack at Sunjwan Military Station.
In a statement here BJP spokesman Khalid Jehangir said, “Our heart goes out for the families who lost their kith and kin in the attack. Words are not enough to condemn this barbaric attack.”
National Conference State vice president, Rattan Lal Gupta has also condemned the terror attack on Sunjwan Army Camp in Jammu, describing it barbaric and inhuman.
In a statement, Gupta expressed solidarity with the bereaved families who lost their dear ones in the attack and conveyed condolences to them.
The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena under the leadership of its president,  Ashok Gupta took out a protest march in the city here against the terror attack on the Sunjwan camp by burning the Pakistan flag.
Gupta said the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi  is respected all over the world for his zero tolerance towards the terrorism and now he should take action by ending the relations with all those parties and people who are anti India or anti army and who are working towards demoralizing the Indian army.
A meeting of senior leaders of NCP was held under the chairmanship of former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh, president Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) J&K State in which the Fidayeen attack at Sunjwan Military Station where five soldiers and a civilian were martyred and several injured was strongly condemned.
Harmohinder Singh president Displaced Kashmiri Sikh Conference has also strongly condemned the Fidayeen attack on Army camp and urged the Government to  ensure that such attacks don’t take place in future as by such acts enemy wants to demoralise the forces and people of the country.
He demanded that  enemy be taught a befitting lesson so that it may not dare to raise the ugly head in future.
Public Opinion Forum (POF), Jammu today strongly condemned the Fidayeen attack in Sunjwan area in Jammu.
In an emergency meeting, the president of the Forum, Parveen Sharma said that Pakistan has become synonimous with terrorism and is producing and sheltering terrorists on its land. It has now become the routine that terrorists strike in one or the other country and carry out deadly suicide attacks leading to loss of human lives.
Kamal Magotra advocate has also strongly condemned the attack and expressed solidarity with the families of jawans. He said the Sunjwan attack is eye opener for Jammuites as the situation in this region is also alarming and the nationalistic people should come on a single platform to save Jammu from certain black sheep within.
Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) has also strongly condemned the Sunjwan attack. In a statement president of the Sabha and former Minister, Th. Gulchain Singh Charak while terming it a cowardice act of the terrorists on the family quarters in Sunjwan Army Camp said it is another bid to disturb the peace in Jammu region and make it another Kashmir
The DSS, which held a meeting expressed concern over the increasing number of non State subject holders in Jammu region who support such elements pushed by Pakistan inside the Indian territory.
The Movement for Peace, Equality and Justice has also strongly condemned the Fidayeen attack on Sunjwan Army Camp. The Movement leaders said it is the soft approach of successive State and Central governments towards separatists which emboldens Pakistan to push terrorists inside the State.
To express their anguish against the terror attack on Sunjwan Army camp, locals of Bhalwal Zone, led by social activist and custodian of Ziyarat Peer Baba Ali Badshah, Baba Chanchal Singh, held a strong protest demonstration against Pakistan at Ratti Burn Chapri.
Carrying Tricolour and banners, the protesting people raised slogans against Pakistan and sought a befitting reply to the hostile country and its sponsored terrorists. While addressing the gathering, Chanchal Singh appealed the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to teach Pakistan a lesson and crush terrorism with iron hand. He said that there could be no compromise on security and territorial integrity of the country.
Dogra Brahman Pratinidhoi Sabha Parade in an emergency meeting here today also strongly condemned the Fidayeen attack on Sunjwan Army Camp. The meeting which was held under the president of Sabha Ved Parkash said that the terrorists by this action wanted to disturb peace in Jammu but people of Jammu are mature enough to frustrate the designs of Pakistan.
The Batwals India also strongly condemned the attack on Army camp. In a meeting at village Taryal in Akhnoor Sector under the chairmanship of Hony Captain (retd) Kamal Dass Kaith which was attended by a large number of activists expressed anguish over the attack. They also expressed solidarity with the victims.
Addressing the meeting R L Kaith general secretary of the organisations said that “we will not be cowed down by such attacks of the enemy as we all are united to fight the terror”.
To express their anger against the attack on Army camp protest demonstrations were also held at various places in Kathua. One demonstration was held by irate people of village Banyari, Harya Chak at NH Chadwal. They while raising slogans against the Pakistan demanded action against the rouge country. The protest was led by Sarpanch, Banayari Rakesh Kumar.
Other protests were held and Shadi Chowk and Main Chowk Kathua by the irate people who torched the effigies of Pakistan.
