*Rohan, Rajinder bag ‘Man of the Match’ awards

JAMMU, Sept 13: Oriental Cricket Club (OCC) and Royal Cricket Club (RCC) crushed rivals in their respective matches and sailed into the next stage of the ongoing 1st Coloured KP T-20 Cup, being organized by Whites Cricket Club, KC School ground, here today.
In the first match, OCC smashed Gopinath Cricket Club (GCC) by a huge margin of 60 runs and entered into the next round of the tournament.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, OCC scored 206 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Chander played a splendid inning of 79 runs off 56 balls including 8 boundaries and three sixes, while Rohan also plated well and scored 66 runs off 20 balls including four boundaries and seven sixes. Decker chipped in 23 runs in 19 balls.
From GCC side, Bal Ji scalped 2 wickets, while Sunil took one wicket.
In reply, GCC failed to chase the target and bundled out at 146 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Sunil was the highest scorer with 49 runs off 26 balls including three boundaries and five sixes, while Sunny and Bal Ji made 12 and 11 runs respectively.
From OCC side, Decker and Vicky scalped 2 wickets each, while Rohan took one wicket.
Rohan of OCC was declared as Man of the Match for his overall performance.
In the second match, Jhelum Cricket Club (JCC) lost to Royal Cricket Club (RCC) by 53 runs and advanced to the next stage of the tourney.
Batting first, RCC scored 137 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Amit chipped in 44 runs off 33 balls including four boundaries and two sixes, while Vishu scored 39 runs and Rajinder chipped in 19 runs.
From JCC side, Sanjay Raina clinched three wickets by giving 23 runs in 4 his overs spell, while Arvind Bakshi scalped 2 wickets by giving 31 runs in 4 overs.
In the second inning, JCC could not achieve the target and collapsed at 84 runs for all out in 14.4 overs. Raj Bhat was the top scorer with 24 runs, while Miskeen and Naresh scored 15 and 11 runs respectively.
From RCC side, Harish, Rajinder and Munna scalped 2 wickets each.
Rajinder Pandita of RCC was adjudged as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
The matches were officiated by Vicky Raina, Deepu, Sheru and Arun Bakshi as umpires, while Sahil Bhat maintained the scorecard.
