JAMMU, Dec 12: A three-day sporting event organized by Orzu Sports and Cultural Fest took place at Jagti Cricket Ground here today. The sporting event will be held from today to December 14.
Numerous teams representing various regions of Jammu participated in the sporting event, showcasing their latent talents. Young people who want to pursue careers in sports are given a platform by the organisers.
Former Deputy Chief Minister J&K and Senior BJP leader, Dr Nirmal Singh attended the opening function as chief guest while prominent socio-political leaders M.K. Yogi, Vinod Pandita, Piyush Mattoo member Kashmiri US Overseas Association and Vishal Jotshi were also present during the event.
Dr Nirmal Singh complimented the organizers of the tournament especially Orzu Sports and Cultural Fest for hosting such tournaments and sports meet for the youngsters and allowing them to display their hidden talent. MK Yogi also appealed to Orzu Sports Cultural Fest to organize more such tournaments in other migrant camps like Muthi, Purkhoo, Buta Nagar and Udhampur.
