SRINAGAR, Jan 24: Over 44 kanal State/Kahcharai land was retrieved today from encroachers in Chitragam tehsil of Shopian district.
A team of Revenue officials headed by Tehsildar Chitragam Mohammad Tahir along with Naib Tehsildar Chitragam and Naib Tehsildar Turkwangam took out a drive against encroachers of State/Kahcharai land and during the process, retrieved 44 kanal 7 marla land (Survey Number 113) from illegal encroachers in village Draggad.
Besides this, the team on the spot sealed two illegally constructed shops. People throughout the Tehsil were warned by the Revenue team to surrender the encroached State/Kahcharai on their own to avoid any penal action.
