Colombo, Sep 16: Experienced pacers Dushmantha Chameera and Lahiru Kumara were included Friday in Sri Lanka’s 15-man squad for next month’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
The two bowlers missed the recent Asia Cup due to injury. Sri Lanka went on to win that tournament.
The squad includes four fast bowlers including Chameera and Kumara, who must still prove their fitness five specialist batters, four all-rounders and two spinners.
Sri Lanka also named Dinesh Chandimal, Ashen Bandara, Praveen Jayawickrama, Binura Fernando and Nuwanidu Fernando as reserves.
Sri Lanka plays Namibia on Oct. 16 in its first match of the T20 tournament.
