Padder visits TRT Complex, Jagti township

JAMMU, Oct 23: Minister of State for PHE, Irrigation, Flood Control and Forest, Abdul Majid Padder  today visited TRT complex, Nagrota and Jagti Township to take stock of grievances and problems of Kashmiri Pandits.
Addressing the gathering there, the Minister assured that the Government would take all measures to provide better facilities to people and assured that all demands and grievances put forth will be resolved on priority.
At TRT Nagrota Migrant Quarters, the Minister was apprised about various issues faced by people pertaining to scarcity of potable water etc. While responding to demands projected by the people, the Minister directed PHE authorities to take immediate steps for ensuring regular water supply in TRT complex Nagrota.
He also assured them that other demands like timely supply of ration, shortage of staff in dispensary, installation of lights, repairs and renovation of quarters would also be addressed in a time bound manner.
Assistant Commissioner Relief informed the Minister that the detailed project report for repair and renovation of quarters at TRT Nagrota has already been prepared and the work would be started shortly. He also assured of timely supply of ration in the TRT Complex Nagrota.
During his visit to Jagti, people apprised the Minister about various problems and grievances including recruitment in Special Employment package for Kashmiri migrants, upgradation of schools in migrant camps, augmentation of water and power supply, upgradation of approach road, timely supply of ration among other demands.
Earlier, the Minister visited Anand Nagar, Hazuri Bagh Talab Tillo Borhi and interacted with locals and took stock of various public issues.
The Minister assured them that their genuine demands would be redressed in a time bound manner. He directed officers of the concerned departments to take immediate steps to provide better amenities to the people.
