‘Paigam-e-Aman Chenab-Yamuna’ flagged in at Nagrota

JAMMU, Oct 14: National Integration tour organized for the girl students of remote and far flung villages of Rajouri district under ‘Operation Sadbhavna’ by Romeo Force was flagged in today by Lt Gen KH Singh, General Officer Commanding, 16 Corps, at Nagrota.
The tour was aptly named ‘Paigam-e-Aman Chenab-Yamuna’ as its aim was to bring awareness about the rich historical and cultural heritage of the country and to spread the message of peace and harmony.
During their tour to Jammu and Delhi, the girl students got an opportunity to visit prestigious educational institutes like Kendriya Vidyalaya, RK Puram, Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan and Ameinty University and recreational places in Delhi like Delhi Zoo, historical monuments–Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Shakti Sthal, Shantivan, Veer Bhumi, Raj Ghat, Humayun Tomb, Nehru Planetarium, Teen Murti Bhawan and India Gate.
The students also got an opportunity for metro ride and movie at PVR. During the tour, students also interacted with President of India, Pranab Mukherjee and other local leaders of J&K at Sansad Bhawan.
