RAJOURI, June 17: Three days’ Painters Camp organized by Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA) Jammu in collaboration with Himalayan Education Mission Society (HEM) at Himalayan College Campus entered second day with painting work on the canvases by the artists.
A large number of college students visited the venue of the camp.
Among the dignitaries who visited and interacted with the artists included Farooq Muztar, Founder Pattern of HEM, Himalayan College.
While talking to the artists, Farooq Muztar said that the camp is important in the light of fact that the students will gather information about the possibilities of professions related to art and such other creative fields.
He said that HEM will pursue such events in the future also. He added that the artist community is always welcome at the institution for their services to the society in respect of art and culture activities.
OP Sharma, Director, JKCCA said that JKCCA has organized a national level event at district headquarter for the first time. He hoped that in the very near future there will be more such events at district levels in the State.
The artists participating in this camp included Jang S Verman from Jammu, Kulwant Singh Gill and Dharminder Sharma from Amritsar,  Prabhinder Lall from Chandigarh, Reena Choudhary from Sonepat, Chhaya Dubey from Bhopal, Amrit Kaur, Anuradha Devi, Sahil Ohri and Dhananjay from Jammu,  Tariq Mehmood from Surankote, Jyoti Singh from Gaziabad, Rakshanda Yadav, Bheem Tal and OP Sharma from Jammu.
It may be reminded that the camp is being convened by OP Sharma and coordinated by Dr Alamdar Adam, Cultural Officer, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Sub-Office, Rajouri.
