‘Painting Workshop’ by Nirvana Academy gets underway

JAMMU, June 3: To make children skillful in painting and promote the art of painting in the State, a 10-day ‘Painting Workshop’, organized by the Nirvana Academy, a cultural club got underway at Pammy Art Academy, Sanjay Nagar, here.
The children would learn the basics like colour mixing, drawing, trace, sketching, brush and pencil strokes in the workshop.
About 20 students drawn from Jammu city are participating in the workshop, which would involve a lecture series also make children aware about the local art and painters of Jammu.
The Nirvana Academy is providing free of cost stationery and colours to participants to promote performing arts, culture and helping them to improve their artistic skills, said Paramjeet Kour Instructor and Member of the Academy.
Prominent among others present on the inaugural ceremony were Hitesh Badyal, president Nirvana Academy, Neeraj Sharma, vice president, Meenakshi Sharma, general secretary, Nishant Vaid, secretary Neha Verma, Prince and Paramjeet Kour.
