Painting workshop organised

JAMMU, Nov 27: A painting workshop on live painting technique was organized at BSF Senior Secondary School, here. Renowned painter from Jammu, KK Gandhi was the resource person, who demonstrated the fine points of conventional painting technique and colour travel technique to the students. Around 250 students participated in the workshop.
A painting competition was also organized during this workshop.  Aradhya Sharma of class 7th C stood 1st in junior group while Harsh Verma of class 11th E stood 1st in senior group.
In his interaction with students, K K Gandhi who himself is a self taught painter urged the students to give expression to their imagination and continue their aesthetic journey with canvas and colours. At the conclusion of the workshop IG BSF Jammu Frontier, N S Jamwal presented a memento to the renowned artist and highlighted his contribution towards giving exposure to the beautiful landscape of Jammu and Kashmir through his paintings.
Mr Gandhi presented his paintings to the guest of honour, Rajni Jamwal, President BWWA.
On this occasion the alumni of the school who have excelled in the field of fine arts were also felicitated.
