JAMMU, May 29: Army today effectively retaliated as Pakistani troops yet again violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked on the Line of Control in Poonch sector.
A woman Hanifa Bi, 35, wife of Nizam Din R/o Bigial Dara was injured in Pakistan shelling.
“Pakistan violated ceasefire along the Line of Control this morning in Shahpur sector of Poonch,” official sources here said.
They said that in the last 24 hours, Pakistan violated the truce agreement four times on LoC and IB.
“Indian Army strongly retaliated to the cross border firing,” they said.
On Tuesday Pakistan violated ceasefire in Shahpur sector of Poonch, Nowshera sector of Rajouri and Hiranagar sector of Kathua.
“However, no injury or damage has been reported so far in exchange of firing,” they added.
