Pak intruder killed on LoC

RAJOURI, Mar 25: Foiling an infiltration bid on the Line of Control, the Army gunned down a Pakistani intruder who was trying to sneak into Indian territory from other side in Pokhra area of Nowshera Sector, last evening.
Pakistani currency amounting to Rs 2050, an I-card and some paper slips containing telephone numbers, were recovered from the slain intruder, whose identity has been established as Mohd Maqsood (33), son of Mohd Abbas of Bhimber district in PoK.
Reports said that the alert Army jawans at Parkhu Post noticed suspicious movement of the intruder on LoC in Mahadev area of Nowshera sector, last evening. On being challenged, the intruder jumped into a nullah and tried to flee following which the jawans opened fire.
Later body of the slain intruder was recovered and handed over to Police at Nowshera Police Station.
