Pak military supporting militants across LoC: Lt Gen Singh

JAMMU :  The Indian Army today said that Pakistani military is supporting the militants across the Line of Control.
“Pakistani military is supporting and helping militants in infiltration across the LoC,” Lt Gen KH Singh, outgoing General-Officer-Commanding, White Knight Corps, told reporters here this morning.
Lt Gen Singh is replaced by Lt Gen RR Nirbhorkar at a charge handing over ceremony at the Nagrota based 16 Corps here.
“Pakistani Army’s role in supporting these elements is a matter of concern, but the Indian Army is on alert and keeping a watch,” Gen Singh said.
He further said that around 150 to 190 militants are waiting at the launching pads across the border from Sialkot to upper belts.
The militants are desperate to sneak into this side of the border, but security forces are on alert and will foil all their nefarious designs, he asserted.
The General, however, said that in view of monsoon season, anti-national elements are making all efforts to infiltrate amid ceasefire violations, but troops are giving a befitting reply to the enemy. (AGENCIES)
