JAMMU: A civilian was killed, three others got injured when Pakistan fired unprovoked in forward areas along international border in Samba Sector of Jammu region.
“One civilian was killed and three others got injured, when Pak Rangers this evening violated ceasefire in Samba sector of Jammu”, a senior police officer here said.
He said that a civilian, who was working as a labourer in maintenance work near fence fell prey to Pakistan bullet.
“Three more civilians got injured in the firing”, he said adding other labourers working close to the fence have been evacuated by the BSF.
This evening at around 1705 hrs Pakistan Rangers started unprovoked firing targeting BSF Naka mound and civil labourer in Samba Sector, who were carrying out construction work of culvert well inside the Indian Territory”, BSF Spokesman here said.
He further said, BSF troops also gave befitting reply while the firing from both the sides stopped at 1730 hrs. (AGENCIES)
