JAMMU, Sept 8: Director, School Education Jammu, H R Pakhroo, inaugurated six -day workshop on “Maintenance of Hardware and Software & Techniques & Preparation of Models/Low Cost Teaching Aids”, for elementary level teachers, here today.
The workshop, organized by Educational Technology Cell of State Institute of Education (SIE) Jammu, is aimed to update the teaching community in maintaining the various hardware and software use in teaching learning and to prepare Low Cost Teaching Aids/Models for Elementary Level.
While interacting with the participants, Mr Pakhroo emphasized on the use of modern technology in Teaching – Learning in context to the NCF-2005. He also discussed the need of teaching aids in classroom interaction.
The programme was co-ordinated by Rajinder Kumar, Research officer, SIE Jammu while Kailash Kotwal, Veena Gupta and Akash Khajuria acted as associate co-ordinator.
Other dignitaries, present on the occasion, included S K Raina (Sr Field Advisor), S L Tengloo, Ajit Kumar, Mohinder Singh (Principal DIET Jammu) and all the research officers and other teaching faculty of SIE Jammu.
S K Raina, while interacting with the participants, deliberated the importance of such programmes for building the capacity of teachers.
