Jammu, July 7: Advising Pakistan to behave as a good neighbour towards its bordering countries, India in particular, BJP State President & Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma said that repeated cases of ceasefire violations and targeting civilian population will be strongly retaliated.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, who alongwith Ex-MLA of Bishnah Ashwani Sharma and local leaders of the party, visited Changia, Trewa, Jabowal and other border villages in Bishnah constituency, interacted with the people and took stock of the problems being faced by them in their day to day life. He was informed that while they suffer losses of standing crops, houses and precious human lives due to across the border firing from Pakistan, they are also made to suffer on account of irregular supply of drinking water, long cuts of electricity and bad condition of roads leading to their villages. Later, Jugal Kishore Sharma also visited Bishnah town and the gun point spot at Arnia, where recent shells have been spotted fired by Pakistani rangers.
Mr Sharma, while addressing a public gathering, alleged that Pakistan has always violated agreements and promises of ceasefire whereas India always extended a hand of friendship towards it. “It was Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee who even went to Pakistan in a bus with a message of friendship and now it is Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who too has expressed country’s desire of having good relations with Pakistan but unfortunately our neighbour has neither displayed its seriousness nor any commitment to stop proxy war” Jugal said adding that Pakistan indulges in such activities just to divert the attention of its citizens from its internal instability and failures and our innocent people have to suffer, which can not be tolerated. The MP further said that the problems of borders people are indeed a very serious matter and we are working towards ensuring that they are not made to suffer any more.
Announcing an approval of Rs 25 lakh for undertaking the works related to the needs and demands of the people, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the funds will be utilized for immediate redressal of the problems being faced by the people. He also took up their issues with the senior officials of the concerned departments with directions of earlier mitigation of the same.
Ashwani Sharma, on this occasion, said that the people of the constituency have anger and resentment against the sitting MLA as all developmental activities have come to standstill and there is no one to come and help them. He assured the people that he will keep raising their issues and make every possible effort to work for the welfare and development.
BJP leaders including Raghunandan Sharma,Vijay Saini, Rajiv Gupta and others also accompanied the MP during his visit of the said areas.
