Pakistan’s Geeta is Pratapgarh’s Savita

After Punjab, now a couple from Pratapgarh’s Dhanmohan village has claimed that the deaf and dump girl Geeta, who is in Pakistan, is their daughter.
Geeta, who has now turned 24 is stranded in the counterpart nation since 15 years and reached Pakistan in a train from India. Rangers had handed her over to esteemed social work organization Edhi Foundation. She was around nine at that time. She can’t hear or talk due to which it is difficult to get information about her. Reportedly, she is 24-year-old now. Geeta remembers only number 193 and she told in signs that she has seven brothers and four sisters.
Police sources here told UNI that Ramraj and Geeta Devi had claimed that Savita is their daughter and are now going to raise their voice for Geeta from District Collector to the Chief Minister. Local police have arranged a meeting with the District magistrate and senior officers for the same.
According to the police, Geeta was missed from a math of her uncle in Chhapra (Bihar) in 2004 when she was just eight-years-old. The missing complaint of Geeta was then registered in the police station on November 1, 2004 but she could not be traced.
The couple rushed to the police station along with the picture of their missing daughter after they came to know about the story of Geeta been aired on national television channels by someone.
Later, the district magistrate also called the couple and interrogated in the same connection. A communication is being made with the foreign ministry to bring their daughter back from the counterpart nation. (AGENCIES)
