Palhallan A drubs Andergam FCC to win T20 title

SRINAGAR, Sept 30: Palhallan A defeated Andergam Friends Cricket Club (FCC) in a final match played at Chanderhama SNW Cricket ground, Pattan today.
The T20 tournament was organized by 29 Rashtriya Rifles.
Ten teams drawn from District Baramulla participated in this tournament.
The chief guest on the occasion was Colonel Abhishek Tripathi, Commanding Officer, 29 Rashtriya Rifles, 2ic Lt Col Rahul Singh, Maj Ashok Tivari, Journalist Saleem Yousuf, who witnessed the match along with the local audience. Palhallan A defeated FCC, Andergam by 23 runs and were adjudged the winners of the Sadhbhavana Cricket Tournament.
A cash prize of Rs 15,000 was presented to winners and Rs 10,000 to runners-up, while a cash prize of Rs 5,000 was awarded to Mohd Ashraf of Palhalan A  for being the man of the series and scoring 333 runs in the tournament. Cash prize of Rs 3,000 was awarded to Shoaib of Andergam team for being adjudged man of the match.
The chief guest appreciated the enthusiasm and zeal exhibited by the youth of Palhallan area by participating in this tournament. He said that Army will always remain committed to their vision in the constructive development and grooming of the young minds of the Valley. He expressed gratitude to one and all for making these events successful.
