JAMMU, Dec 17: Palvi Sharma, daughter of Dinesh Kumar Sharma and Pooja Sharma, have been awarded with “Bharat Gaurav Samman” for excellence in the sport of Karate by Penpa Tsering, Prime Minister, Government of Tibet at University of Jammu, today.
The event was organized by Bharat Tibet Sangh.
Palvi Sharma is the first Karate player from J&K to represent India in Asian Games and won 11 State Gold medals, a black belt and has trained more than 1000 players.
Prominent personalities including Major General Nilendra Kumar (Retd.), National Vice President, Bharat Tibet Sangh, Saurabh Saraswat, National General Secretary, Bharat Tibet Sangh and others were present during the event.
