JAMMU, May 2: Magnifi-cent batting performance of 76 runs off 48 balls by Pankaj Ladda helped Road Safety XI to crush TTCC by 41 runs and to register berth in the semis of the ongoing 5th Jammu Tawi Premier T-20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Club at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
Batting first, Road Safety XI made 174 runs by losing 5 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Pankaj Ladda chipped in 76 runs off 48 balls, while Gourav Bhatti made 51 runs in 28 balls. Rohal Gill scored 19 runs in 28 balls.
From TTCC side, Ashwani and Deepanshu scalped 2 wickets each, while Prabh took one wicket.
In reply, TTCC failed to chase the target and made 133 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Ashwani was top scorer with 42 runs in 31 balls, whole Lovedeep and Partap scored 25 and 20 runs respectively.
From Road Safety XI side, Rompy took 2 wickets, while Rahesh Gill and Balwan scalped one wicket apiece.
Pankaj Ladda of Road Safety XI was adjudged as Man of the Matchn for his brilliant batting performance.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain and Ashok Singh as umpires, while Vinod Kandyara acted as scorer.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Road Safety XI will take on KCCC in the first semis, while RCC will clash will JCC in the second semifinal.
