Para-medical students hold protest, demand re-examination

JAMMU, Oct 24: Demanding re-conducting of the examination, hundreds of para-medical students assembled outside Press Club and held protest demonstration here today.
The para-medical students of Trikuta College and Madr-e-Meharban College assembled outside press club and raised slogans against Board of State Medical Faculty, responsible for conducting the examination.
However, police tried to pacify the agitating students, who did not relent and continued protest. This led to a scuffle between police and agitating students. Later one of the student was taken into custody by the police.
The protestors alleged that the papers conducted by Board of State Medical Faculty are out of syllabus. They demanded re-conducting of the examination and warned to come on roads if their demand not redressed.
One of the protestors talking to Excelsior said that the paper set by GMC Srinagar for first and second year para-medical student was out of syllabus, which has created lot of chaos and confusions among them.
He demanded immediate re-conducting of the examination, so as to save the future of hundreds of para-medics.
Later, in the evening, vice president, Pradesh Youth Congress (NYC) Pranav Shagotra along with para-medical students visited police station and got released the arrested student.
