JAMMU, Aug 29: Paras and Harsh specially-abled artists of Red Cross Home emerged winners in the “Variety Cultural Show for Specially abled Children”, organized jointly by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu in collaboration with Divya kala Manch and Project Model School Janipur at Police Auditorium, here today.
The two day show was specially dedicated to the specially abled children of Red Cross Home but an opportunity was also given to the school children of Jammu region which included Heritage School, Project Model School, GD Gonika and Sarvodaya Secondary Sechool.
Dr SD Singh, IGP Jammu was the chief guest, while Dr. Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu was the guest of honour.
The chief guest distributed the trophies among the winners and participants in the presence of Dr.Sunil Gupta SSP Jammu, Rajesh Sharma SSP SO to IGP Jammu, Joginder Singh SSP PCR, Vinod Kumar SP City, Sandeep Choudhary SP South Jammu, Ramesh Kotwal SP Headquarters Jammu, Vinay Kumar SP Operations Jammu, Vikrant Sharma Principal Project Model School, Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer, Divya Director Divya Kala Manch, Rishab and Amarjot of MIER.
While speaking on the occasion, the chief guest highlighted the efforts of the specially abled children in coping up with the society and the needs of the modern world around them. He said that J&K Police is committed to provide platform to every individual of the state and regularly conducting so many cultural and sports activities so that everyone gets exposure and encouragement.
Special celebrities of Terrance Group also performed on the occasion.
Earlier, Rajesh Gill presented welcome address, while Vikrant Sharma presented vote of thanks. Archana Sharma conducted the proceedings of the show.
In Solo Dance, Saral of GD Goenka School was declared first, Bavneet of Heritage School second and Navya of GD Goenka as third.
In Solo Singing, Parth and Simran Chopra of Heritage School were jointly declared first, Kohinoor of GD Goenka second and Arnav Jandyal as third.
In Group Dance, GD Goenka got first position, Sarvodaya School second and Heritage school third.
In Duet Dance Performance, Heritage School won first position, while GD Goenka bagged second and third position.
In western Solo Singing, Agaste Sharma of Project Model School was declared winner.
