JAMMU, Apr 29: Brilliant batting display by Surya Mahotra (81) and Paras Sharma (71) powered Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) to big win over Strikers Cricket Club in the ongoing 5th Jammu Tawi Premier T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Club at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Batting first, JCC rode on a brilliant batting display by Paras and Surya to score a good total of 186 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 3 wickets in the process. Both the batsmen hit the ball with fluidity and grace and sent the rival bowlers on a leather hunt. For Strikers XI, Lablu took all 3 wickets to fall.
In reply, Strikers XI could manage to score 127 runs in the allotted 20 overs by losing 7 wickets, thus lost the match by a big margin of 59 runs. Sachin Sudan top scored with 39 runs, while Anku and Lablu contributed 26 and 17 runs to the total respectively. For JCC, Ankush Gill took 2 wickets, while Rahil Singh, Vishwajeet Singh, Kartik Sharma and Paras claimed 1 wicket apiece. Pars Sharma was declared man of the match.

In tomorrow’s fixture, KCCC will take on Singh Cricket Club at 9:30 am and JCC will lock horns with KC Sports Club at 1:30 pm.
