JAMMU, Apr 28: The partially rotten body of a male infant was found today from Ranbir Canal within the jurisdiction of police post Canal Road.
According to a police spokesman, the dead body of a male infant beyond recognition was found this afternoon from Ranbir Canal near Kusth Ashram, after water supply in the Canal was stopped by Domana police to find a missing man on the suspicion that he might have drowned in the canal.
He said that the body of the deceased child was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification and post mortem while a case in this connection has been registered at concerned police station.
