UDHAMPUR, Oct 4: Defeating their rivals convincingly in the semifinals of the boys section today, Parveen Handball Club and Braham Rishi Bawra Red qualified for the finals and will be locking horns against each other in the summit clash of the District Handball Championship at Mini Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the first boys section semifinal, Parveen Club defeated Friends Handball Club by (16-6), while in another semifinal in boys section, Braham Rishi Bawra Red got better of Army Public School Udhampur by (11-2) goals.
In the women’s section, Braham Rishi defeated Jagano Club by (3-1) goals to enter the finals and face KC Gurukul Handball Club tomorrow.
The matches were officiated by Rishi Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Vikrant Balgotra, Sourabh Pandit, Ajit Singh, Manmeet Singh and Sanjay Kumar, while the tournament is being organized under the supervision of Ravi Singh Jaswal, general secretary and Vipin Photra, organizing secretary of District Udhampur Handball Association.
