Parveen, Kuldip help RCC Srinagar to thrash JCC by 72 runs to enter semis

JAMMU, Mar 21: Opening batsman Parveen Singh and left-arm spinner and skipper, Kuldip Kumar helped Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) Srinagar to thrash the formidable and star-studded  team of Jammu Cricket Club by a big margin of 72 runs and enter the semifinal of the ongoing KC Sports Club Cricket Tournament at KC School ground, here today.
Earlier, batting first, RCC scored a decent total of 160 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets during the process. Parveen Singh contributed power-packed 49 runs, while Amit Sharma and Satish Kumar contributed 34 and 30 runs to the total respectively. Puneet Wattal hit 2 big sixes in the last over and chipped in with 12 runs. For JCC, Rahil Singh, Vishwajeet Singh and Paras Sharma bagged 2 wickets each.
In reply, JCC was bundled out for a paltry total of 88 runs in 17.1 overs to lose the match by a big margin of 72 runs. Sandeep Singh top scored with 38 runs, while Sidharth Magotra contributed 15 runs to the total. For RCC Sringar, Kuldip Kumar was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 4 important wickets by conceding 11 runs in his 4 overs, while Jatin Wadhawan bagged 2 wickets. Sourav Chopra, Amit Sharma and Dilbagh Singh shared one wicket each.
