JAMMU, Sept 8: Riding on brilliant batting display by Abdul Samad and superb all-round show by Pranav Gupta, Patel Cricket Club defeated Dream Cricket Club in an easy contest by 8 wickets to seal berth in the quarterfinals of the ongoing KC Sports Club T20 Cricket Cup 2017 at KCSC ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, DCC scored a modest total of 120 runs in 20 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process. Deepak top scored with 35 runs, while Vicky and Chander contributed 18 and 15 runs to the total respectively. From Patel Club, Pranav Gupta and Gourav captured 3 wickets each, while Tayyab and Abhinav claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Patel Cricket Club chased the target easily in 15.2 overs by losing 2 wickets, thus won the match by 8 wickets. Abdul Samad top scored with 64 runs, while Abhinav and Pranav contributed 27 and 20 runs to the winning total respectively. From Dream Cricket Club, Anchal and Sunny claimed one wicket each.
