Patel Club registers big win in JKCA’s Jammu District Tournament

JAMMU, May 5: Patel Cricket Club defeated Kiwi Cricket Club by a big margin of 175 runs in the ongoing JKCA’s Jammu District Cricket Tournament, being organised under the Patronage of Justice CK Prasad, Administrator JKCA, under the Chairmanship of Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, CEO JKCA and under the overall supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member Judicial State Human Rights Commission and Member JKCA at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Patel Cricket Club scored a big total of 278 runs in 40 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process. Raghav Sharma top scored with 64 runs, while Aryan Dogra and Ahtshyam contributed 54 and unbeaten 52 runs to the total respectively. From Kiwi Cricket Club, Vikas took 4 wickets, while Ashwani claimed one wicket.
In reply, Kiwi Cricket Club bundled out for paltry 103 runs in 15.1 overs, thus lost the match by a huge margin of 175 runs. Vikas, Gourav and Komalpreet contributed 27, 23 and 17 runs to the total respectively. From Patel Club, Anchal Singh took 4 wickets, while Dhruv and Nityam took 2 wickets each. Tayab and Raghav claimed 1 wicket each.
The match was officiated by Ashok Singh and Vijay Kumar as umpires, while Vinod Kandyara was the scorer.
