UDHAMPUR, Sept 19: Education Department today organized a Patriotic Group Song Competition, here today.
Chief Education Officer, Bishan Singh was the chief guest, while District Information Officer, Esha Chib was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO stressed upon the teachers to motivate the students for participating in co-curricular activities for their all round development.
About 80 students from 10 different schools of Udhampur zone participated in the competition.
The main attraction of the competition was the patriotic song, dedicated to martyr Tushar Mahajan who sacrificed his life while fighting for the nation in Pampore, which was presented by the students of Government High School, Sundla.
Kids India School clinched the first prize, while the students from National Academy got the second prize. The group song presented by the students of Brahamrishi Bawra Shanti Vidyapeeth School was adjudged third.
