Patwar Association stages dharna

JAMMU, Feb 16: The Jammu district unit of All J&K Patwar Association (AJKPA) today staged a sit-in-protest in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, dem-anding immediate arrest of accused who shot at Patwari.
All Girdawars and Patwaries of District Jammu on the call of AJKPA provincial president Jammu, Mushtaq Ahmed Ganai, assembled this morning in front of DC Office Jammu and raised slogans against the district administration.
The protesting Patwaries and Girdawars criticized the administration for not arresting the accused persons. Kalim Ahmed, Jammu district president of the association, asked the administration to provide full security to the revenue staff while performing their legitimate duties in their respective field/areas.
Raman Raj Sharma, State president, AJKPA and provincial president, Mushtaq Ahmed Ganai also addressed the gathering. They said that dharna will not be lifted till the culprits are put behind the bars and PSA imposed on them. They also warned of holding State wide agitation in case of failure to arrest the culprits.
