Patwari arrested for forging Revenue record

JAMMU, Aug 19: Crime Branch Jammu has arrested a Patwari for his involvement in hatching criminal conspiracy and forging Revenue record in connivance with other accused person with the purpose to identify some wrong property/land under his ownership and possession.
Patwari, Mohd Rafique, resident of Peer Baba Satwari Cantt, Jammu has been arrested in case FIR number 72/2016, under Sections 420, 465, 467, 471,120-B 5(2) PC Act at Police Station Crime Branch Jammu for forging Revenue record in connivance with other accused persons including the prime accused (beneficiary) Mohammad Shafi of Teli Mohalla, Bari Brahmana, (Prop Chowdhary Trading Company).
On the basis of forged Revenue documents, a registered sale / mortgage deed was produced by the beneficiary before the officials/valuator of Canara Bank, Bari Brahmana, Samba to secure a Cash Credit limit of Rs 30.00 lakhs. and thereafter, turned NPA, thereby, causing wrongful gains to himself and corresponding loss to the Canara Bank.
The accused were not cooperating in the investigation of the case and were evading arrest since the registration of the case. However, after generation of intelligence input, team of Crime Branch, Jammu laid trap at different places with careful planning and arrested the accused from Bari Brahmana area. The accused is presently on Police remand for further investigation of the case.
