Patwari caught accepting bribe

SRINAGAR, Jan 14: Vigilance Organization Kashmir today caught red handed Patwari of Halqa Sagam in Kokernag, while demanding and accepting a bribe amount of Rs 3000 from the complainant.
The accused, namely Abdul Rashid Dar, son of  Mohammad Akbar Dar of  Uterhal Peertakya Kokernag,   was demanding and accepting the bribe from complainant  Reyaz Ahmad Bhat  for preparing necessary documents to mutate a piece of land, purchased by the latter’s father .
Acting on a complaint, a Vigilance team led by Inspector Manzoor Ahmad (ABP),   laid a successful trap in which the Patwari was caught red handed while demanding and accepting Rs 3000/- as bribe in presence of an independent witness.
