UDHAMPUR, Mar 7: Former Minister and MLA Udhampur, Pawan Kumar Gupta today dedicated a newly installed hand pump to the public of Khrooni of Fangyal Rathian area in presence of some prominent people of the area.
A handout issued by the MLA here said that a deputation of Khrooni area few days back approached him and requested for installation of one hand pump in the area for providing a relief to the residents of area from the scarcity of drinking water.
To fulfil this long pending demand Gupta inaugurated the newly installed hand pump and dedicated it to the residents of the area.
Addressing a public gathering on the occasion the MLA assured sustained and equitable development, both in urban and rural areas of Udhampur Constituency. He informed that as a part of developmental activities in rural areas, the road work in many areas was started.
He specially mentioned the work on Mahatma Gandhi Marg road which is example of injustice since independence and long pending demand of the public of Rathian area work of which already started and likely to be completed within days. Further, he threw light on the importance of Devika project and Radio Station for the public of Udhampur which was announced and inaugurated recently apart from this various development works are in progress in all over the Constituency.
Residents of the area also attracted attention of Gupta towards some issue and he assured early action.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Raj Mohd Chandel, Rajkumar Bucha, Rohit Sethi and Parshotam.
