UDHAMPUR, Nov 10: Pawan Khajuria, Bhartiya Janta Party candidate from Udhampur Assembly constituency, today held a series of public meetings at Salmeri, Chal Jatam Panchayat, Barta, Khu Nallah and Ritti intensifying his election campaign.
Seeking vote and support for BJP, he asked people to come under the political umbrella of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is taking the country to new heights. After Maharashtra and Haryana, BJP is going to form next Government in Jammu Kashmir also and to ensure participation of Udhampur constituency in the mission 44+, I need your vote and support,” he said amidst slogans by the enthusiastic gathering.
Pawan Khajuria also lambasted the sitting MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia for the bad condition of Barta road and lack of basic facilities in the area. During the last 12 years, no development work has taken place in the area and the people are forced to cover long distance even for first aid as there is no dispensary here, he lamented and asked people to vote for change in the Assembly elections.
Reiterating that BJP was going to form next Government in Jammu Kashmir, Mr Khajuria asked people to contribute in this mission, which will change future of the State, particularly Jammu region. While National Conference, Congress and PDP are known for their pro-Kashmir stand, Panthers Party is an agent of Kashmiri leaders, he alleged and asked people to reject these anti-Jammu forces.
On the occasion, Sarpanch Mohan Lal resigned from Congress party and announced to join BJP. He said that only BJP can ensure overall development of Jammu Kashmir, including Udhampur Assembly constituency.
