UDHAMPUR, Jan 4: Former Minister and MLA Udhampur Pawan Gupta decried the un constitutional version figured on the floor of the Assembly and demanded that the same be expunged from Assembly record.
In taking part in debate on Adjournment Motion moved by the opposition leader and former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, Gupta  took  Er. Rasheed to task for raking up unconstitutional issues and said these cannot be entertained in this Assembly and any person having no faith in Constitution should leave to Pakistan. He further appealed that all objectionable portions of speech of  Er. Rasheed be expunged from the records.
Gupta in a statement issued here today said that as a human being he expressed sympathies to the bereaved families of those killed in the unrest but  further said  we must go for  the root causes for such ongoing unrest for last over 6 months in counting instances such as lowering of our security guard by allowing congregation of thousands in militants’ funeral, allowing unfurling ISIS and Pakistani flags, holding anti-Indian seminars, not allowing Abhinav Yatra opposing creating  Kashmir Pandits /Sainik colonies vitiating atmosphere while allowing separatist organization to rule roost.
The Present Government without assessing the ground realities and their counter productive results allowed removal of bunkers and vacation of Army grounds, releasing of 624 stone peters without their any guarantee in not joining such agitation again.
The mishandling of situation of post Burhan Wani’s killing & allowing the security scenario to deteriorate coupled with the fact that conflicting, contradictory statement of Chief Minister that Burhan should have been given a chance to surrender & DyCM terming the killing as accidental / mistakenly and Finance Minister terming it as custodial killing only added fuel to the fire in allowing situation to worsen to such un imaginable proportions
Regarding the allegation against NC/Congress being responsible for their present unrest, Gupta questioned the veracity of such version and also the Government in power which became lame duck spectator unable to enforce rule of law and take punitive action against such elements.
In blaming Pakistan for the present turmoil by BJP and in the same breathe PDP harping and stressing again and again with engaging Pakistan for peace dialogue showed inherited contradictions between coalition partners.
He urged & stressed that no further political solution lies for the State as the State enjoys special status and is the most empowered institution of the country.
