SRINAGAR, June 16: Power Development Department (PDD) has imposed Rs 30 lakh fine on Baba Reshi flour mills for bypassing the power meter.
Chief Engineer Bashir Ahmad told Excelsior that an inspection team of the department found that the flour mill owner was bypassing the power meter leading to losses to the department. He said that the department has imposed a fine of around Rs 30 lakh on the owner for by passing the meter.
“We have placed two officials under suspension and I have ordered a departmental inquiry headed by SE Srinagar-Budgam Shubhan Kumar. He has been directed to submit his report within a week.” Khan said.
