JAMMU, Aug 26: A meeting of J&K Need Basis/Casual Labourers Union, PDD, Jammu was held under the presidentship of Ch Sampooran Singh, president, Jammu province.
Addressing a press conference, Ch Sampooran Singh stated that the concerned authorities of PDD have failed to redress the grievances of the Need Based/ Casual Labourers employees of PDD. The concerned authorities have not released the wages of the poor workers who have been serving the department with dedication and sincerity.
The president has urged upon all the concerned Executive Engineers of PDD of Jammu province to release the pending wages of all the respective employees till date, so that they may be saved from starvation.
He warned the concerned authorities for gherao of all the Executive Engineers, if they demands are not met with. Other members of the union present in the meeting were Rakesh Sharma, Balwant Lal, Bachan Lal, Mulkh Raj, Jia Lal and the other employees of Jammu province.
