SAMBA, July 28: Power Development Department (PDD) launched extensive drive in Ward number 5, here against the illegal electricity connections, confiscated heaters and enhanced load of several house holds today.
The drive was launched on the directions of the Executive Engineer PDD Samba, Ashok Sharma during which the officers and staff of the department raided about 22 residential houses in Ward number 5, Vijaypur. During the raids illegal connections were snapped and heaters seized. The installed load of few houses was subjected to checking and load of some houses was enhanced.
The raiding party warned the house-holds to remain ready for paying penalty in case any irregularity was noticed in future. Those who were part of the raiding party included AEE Narottam Kumar, AE Vikr-amjeet, Joginder Lal, Satyadev Slathia, Ramesh Lal, Rattan Lal and Shakti Sharma.
